Firstly, Your tear ducts in your eyes wonโt release tears underwater because the density and pressure of the water wonโt let them come out. So if you were to actually cry underwater, you can swallow a large amount of water in your lung and you will drown. After some time, you will get yourself dead.
Besides, if you manage to satisfy all the conditions above, still if you cry, your tears will be wiped off. And will invisible in water as you’re underwater and your tear also mostly water which would just be mixed with the rest of the water.

The answer to Can you cry underwater is Yes in this condition –
Yes, you will be able to start crying underwater. But pretty soon, you have to breathe because you have to inhale the amount of air that you had breathed out when you started crying.
Here the solution is –ย If you are wearing scuba gear, you will be able to do heavy breathing. Or, if they have a snorkel or other breathing equipment you can continue to cry. If no breathing is possible, you will not be able to inhale during the course of crying and then you will need to stop, or you could drown by inhaling water.

No matter when and where you’re crying underwater, for as long as you can completely control your breathing cycle, you will not drown and can continue crying. You can cry in space, however, gravity wonโt allow your tears to drop downwards. Instead, your tears will stick to your eyes and form a liquid ball. After that, soon they will float around sticking with your eyes.
