If you look closely on your computer keyboard, you will notice some unnoticeable tiny lights. These tiny lights are generally seen at the top right corner of the keyboard. And It is common in all types of keyboard.

Did you know for what they used for? Why these tiny lights on computer keyboard?

There are mostly two tiny lights which basically do two important functions of your keyboard.

First light turned on when “Caps Lock” key is pressed. Doing so, you can type alphabets in capital letters. Normally, you need to press Shift+Alphabet to type capital letters each time. In this way, it saves your time not pressing unnecessary keys.

Second light turned on when “Number Lock” or “NmLk” or “NumLock” key is pressed. This key generally seen at the right part of the keyboard. When this key turned on, you can type numbers. This key is mostly useful for Accountants. It helps to type numbers faster than typical arranged number keys present at the top of keyboard.

Lastly, there are other types of key lights for different functions of keyboard. But these are not so useful or common in modern keyboards. Still, here are another two types of lights used in old computer keyboards.

Download light: This light turned on when you download something from Internet.

Scroll Lock Key Light: This key light locks the scrolling of webpages by Mouse wheel. (To scroll webpages by Mouse Wheel automatically, you have to press on it.)
